The Yucaipa Photography Camera Club (Y.P.C.C.) is a non-profit club for people who love photography and want to continue learning with others or even start learning as a beginner. Club meetings will happen on the second and fourth Mondays of every month at 6 P.M. at the Yucaipa Museum of Natural History on Bryant St. and Panorama. The meeting’s agenda is created from ideas that club members want to share with each other. It is also a great way to make friends and connections with other people who share your interests in photography. There will be contest presentations at every meeting for club members who pitch in $5 dollars and one photograph. This contest will be held with all members. Each person gets one vote each, not voting for yourself. First, second, and third places will be awarded. The first place winner will win all the money in the contest, and the second and third places will receive a free entry certificate for the next contest they choose to enter. Club exhibit forms are available to club members. We hope to do a full exhibition every month in front of Yucaipa City Hall. This will help sell your photographs and get your name out there as you begin to become a professional photographer.
We will also be doing field trips to many great locations that have been discovered by our members. Workshops in photography, Photoshop, and other related media will also be scheduled.
We are currently looking for people who are interested in taking board positions for this new club. Current positions available include: Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Field Trip Coordinator, Webmaster, Programs Director, and Publicity Director.
We are going to try and sell our photos at Yucaipa Market Night weekly. The cost for the spot will be divided among those who want their work at the exhibition or for sale. This will also be a great place to make contacts with others for future work.
Exhibition Rules
The work must be yours and you must be a member of the Yucaipa Photography Club. You may use a frameless presentation if you choose, as well as a video presentation that will be provided by Y.P.C.C. The work may also be offered for sale at your own prices. Your name , title of the picture, and sale price must be on the back.
